  <description>In Vol 1., Episode 3, we meet with Julie Enszer, scholar and poet. In 2022, she had two books forthcoming; Rutgers University Press would publish&amp;amp;nbsp;OutWrite: The Speeches that Shaped LGBTQ Literary Culture&amp;amp;nbsp;in March of 2022 and Nightboat Books will publish&amp;amp;nbsp;Fire-Rimmed Eden: Selected Poems by Lynn Lonidier&amp;amp;nbsp;in June of 2022. Her scholarly book manuscript,&amp;amp;nbsp;A Fine Bind, is a history of lesbian-feminist presses from 1969 until 2009. Her scholarly work has appeared or is forthcoming in&amp;amp;nbsp;Southern Cultures,&amp;amp;nbsp;Journal of Lesbian Studies,&amp;amp;nbsp;American Periodicals,&amp;amp;nbsp;WSQ, and&amp;amp;nbsp;Frontiers. She is the author of four poetry collections,&amp;amp;nbsp;Avowed&amp;amp;nbsp;(Sibling Rivalry Press, 2016),&amp;amp;nbsp;Lilith’s Demons&amp;amp;nbsp;(A Midsummer Night’s Press, 2015),&amp;amp;nbsp;Sisterhood&amp;amp;nbsp;(Sibling Rivalry Press, 2013) and&amp;amp;nbsp;Handmade Love&amp;amp;nbsp;(A Midsummer Night’s Press, 2010). She is editor of&amp;amp;nbsp;The Complete Works of Pat Parker&amp;amp;nbsp;(Sinister Wisdom/A Midsummer Night’s Press, 2016), which won the 2017 Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Poetry,&amp;amp;nbsp;Sister Love: The Letters of Audre Lorde and Pat Parker 1974-1989&amp;amp;nbsp;(Sinister Wisdom/A Midsummer Night’s Press, 2018), and&amp;amp;nbsp;Milk &amp;amp;amp; Honey: A Celebration of Jewish Lesbian Poetry&amp;amp;nbsp;(A Midsummer Night’s Press, 2011), which was a finalist for the 2012 Lambda Literary Award in Lesbian Poetry. Enszer has her MFA and PhD from the University of Maryland. She edits and publishes&amp;amp;nbsp;Sinister Wisdom, a multicultural lesbian literary and art journal, and a regular book reviewer for the&amp;amp;nbsp;The Rumpus&amp;amp;nbsp;and&amp;amp;nbsp;Calyx.
