South Mountain Heritage Society’s Spook Hill Cider & Wine 4 Mile Run
Exercise, wine, and cider, now that sounds like a fun time to me. As the leaves turn colors and the weather becomes crisp an annual event occurs in another one of Frederick County Maryland’s hidden jewel towns, the Spook Hill Wine and Cider 4K in Burkittsville. The Steeples and Peoples podcast was able to sit down with race director, Bill Susa and discuss the event and some of the history behind Burkittsville and the museum that highlights it. Bill talks about where the profit from the race goes, the course and the finish line recognition.
