As another ANZAC Day approaches, the story of the Gallipoli&amp;amp;nbsp;landing and the eight month long campaign that followed will&amp;amp;nbsp;be retold. Most accounts will dwell on stories of the Anzac spirit:&amp;amp;nbsp;reckless courage, endurance, humour in adversity and above&amp;amp;nbsp;all, mateship. Yet how well do we Australians actually know the&amp;amp;nbsp;history of Gallipoli that has become a central part of our national&amp;amp;nbsp;foundation story? The Gallipoli story, especially as it is widely&amp;amp;nbsp;understood, is riddled with paradoxes and misconceptions. I&amp;amp;nbsp;this talk, Ashley Ekins will bring fresh findings and some revealing&amp;amp;nbsp;observations to these important issues.</description>
