  <title>Romans 5:1-11 - Salvation Defined</title>
<description>Welcome to the Romans 5 Podcast! Mike and Kevin share their insights from the Book of Romans as they dive into Chapter 5:1-11. 5&amp;amp;nbsp;Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,&amp;amp;nbsp;2&amp;amp;nbsp;through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.&amp;amp;nbsp;3&amp;amp;nbsp;Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings,&amp;amp;nbsp;because we know that suffering produces perseverance;&amp;amp;nbsp;4&amp;amp;nbsp;perseverance, character; and character, hope.&amp;amp;nbsp;5&amp;amp;nbsp;And hope&amp;amp;nbsp;does not put us to shame, because God’s love&amp;amp;nbsp;has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,&amp;amp;nbsp;who has been given to us. 6&amp;amp;nbsp;You see, at just the right time,&amp;amp;nbsp;when we were still powerless,&amp;amp;nbsp;Christ died for the ungodly.&amp;amp;nbsp;7&amp;amp;nbsp;Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.&amp;amp;nbsp;8&amp;amp;nbsp;But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9&amp;amp;nbsp;Since we have now been justified&amp;amp;nbsp;by his blood,&amp;amp;nbsp;how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath&amp;amp;nbsp;through him!&amp;amp;nbsp;10&amp;amp;nbsp;For if, while we were God’s enemies,&amp;amp;nbsp;we were reconciled&amp;amp;nbsp;to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!&amp;amp;nbsp;11&amp;amp;nbsp;Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ 12&amp;amp;nbsp;Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man,&amp;amp;nbsp;and death through sin,&amp;amp;nbsp;and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— Scripture quotations marked (NIV) are taken from the Holy Bible, New International Version® (NIV).
