  <description> I was recently reading the September/October 2022 issue of “Science &amp;amp;amp; Children” a publication of the National Science Teaching Association.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;In this issue, I read the Science 101 column, written by Matt Bobrowsky.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;He wrote a column entitled, “Do You Have a Weather-Related Activity That My Students Would Enjoy?”&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;   In this column, Matt addressed two topics:&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;Air Pressure and Barometers.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;This lead me to do a two-part podcast series.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;The previous podcast looked at the topic of air pressure and how it can be explained to students and this podcast will deal with the tool that measures air pressure - barometers.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;The air that surrounds us and surrounds the Earth is called air pressure.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;So, the pressure in the air surrounding us is called atmospheric pressure.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;An instrument for measuring atmospheric pressure is called a barometer.       </description>
