In October of 1997, 19 year old Greg interviewed local RI metal DJ Dr. Metal aka Mike Gonsalves who hosted the biggest metal show in town every saturday night from 12pm-2am called The Metal Zone on 94.1 WHJY. In addition to being an awesome show, Dr. Metal was a huge influence on Greg’s radio show and helped Greg get some contacts in the industry for getting cds sent to the station. Unfortunately we lost Doc in 2003 during the Station Nightclub Fire which killed 100 people and injured 230. This episode is a rest in power tribute to him and all the others who lost their lives that night. I hope you all enjoy this blast from the past.
