  <title>EP 90 - Cai Graham - Overcome Bullying : Top Tips for Parents</title>
<description>Face-to-face bullying is on the decrease which is great news … BUT cyberbullying is rife. The worse thing is that it is usually anonymous - which is doubly unsettling. &amp;amp;nbsp; The bullying statistics are alarming. &amp;amp;nbsp; A while back Guardian recently reported that more than half of children aged 11 to 16 have been bullied about the way they look, with 40% targeted at least once a week, research has found. More than half (53%) of young people who experienced bullying based on their appearance said they had become anxious as a result and 29% had become depressed. One in 10 said they had had suicidal thoughts and 9% that they had self-harmed … &amp;amp;nbsp; and the figures are still rising. &amp;amp;nbsp; Many parents are able to understand “in-person” bullying, from their own experiences so they are better prepared to support their children who are under fire. &amp;amp;nbsp; However, the goalposts have changed since we were youngsters and thanks to the advancement in technology the bullies can now hide behind their anonymity … enter the new phenomenon Cyber Bullying. &amp;amp;nbsp; Want to know more?
