Jack of the Lantern

As a special treat and thank-you to all my gracious and kind supporters, I present my take on the origin of the jack-o-lantern from its Irish folklore roots. If you've been a long-time follower of my buddy Shawn at Ink and Ash (formerly Stories of Yore and Yours), you may have heard this version, and you'll recognize Shawn's voice. Shawn was nice enough to let me re-use some of his audio, but I didn't realize when I asked him that there was fake crowd noise on the track. That pushed me to add crowd noise to my version, and once you add one sound effect, it's a slippery slope before you find yourself forgoing the work you actually had the meager strength for and making an audio drama instead. The wonders of the neurodivergence. The Irish voice is courtesy of voice actor Mark Manning . Speaking of Ink and Ash/SYY, if you want some really spooky, and I mean brain-itchingly creepy to listen to, you've got to check out The Hole. (Another story I wrote is on that episode, pure coincidence.)
