He was head writer of the animated Nickelodeon series&amp;amp;nbsp;Invader Zim, and also was a writer and producer for the Air America Radio network, where he provided material for on-air personalities Rachel Maddow, Marc Maron, Lizz Winstead, Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, and Randi Rhodes. He was a writer and performer on&amp;amp;nbsp;Viewpoint with John Fugelsang&amp;amp;nbsp;on Current TV, and on&amp;amp;nbsp;Totally Biased with W. As an actor, Finnegan portrayed the supporting role of &amp;quot;Carl&amp;quot; in the film&amp;amp;nbsp;Eden Court, a ticket agent in &amp;quot;Knight and Day&amp;quot; and several guest roles including a talk show host on &amp;quot;The Good Wife&amp;quot;. In October 2006, Finnegan's debut stand up comedy CD titled&amp;amp;nbsp;Two For Flinching&amp;amp;nbsp;was released by&amp;amp;nbsp;Comedy Central Records, with a follow-up national tour of college campuses from January to April 2007.&amp;amp;nbsp;“Au Contraire!” was released by Warner Bros. Records in 2009.
