The Source of Life

Jesus declares only he can bring us genuine spiritual life, and that anyone who says otherwise is peddling destructive lies. Matthew 7:13-14 13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. To be discerners of error who flourish in truth: 1. We must fill our minds with truth (Mt 4:4, Ro 12:2)/ When do you fill your mind with God's word? We do this as individuals and together as God's people (Eph 4:15_;(2 Tim2:2). 2. We must learn to test/submit our beliefs and those of others (even the pastor's) to God's Word (2 Tim 3:16). In terms of evaluating your own beliefs, a great place to start is to ask others what the way you live reveals about what you actually believe.
