New local podcast and an update about this show - #22

Wow! A lot has happened since publishing episode 21 of Podcast Local (which was Part 6 of our “behind the scenes” series on the making of a local podcast for our city). In our last behind the scenes episode, we played the first episode of OnTheGo in Richardson. However, this was the ONLY episode we published as OnTheGo in Richardson. Just one. Then “life” happened in a big way. We were not able to continue with this show. Until now! The first episode of our new local podcast for Richardson, Texas is available now at ThisIsRichardson.com. We changed the name of it. We also changed up our format a little. This time, my wife Tiffany Norris is the solo host. I’m producing and editing the show. And for those interested in the technical stuff, we decided to try out Captivate.FM. It’s a media host that has a lot going for it. And since we needed new media hosting anyway for the local podcast, we decided to give it a try. If you’d like to check it out, our affiliate link for Captivate.FM is https://www.captivate.fm/signup?ref=jasonnorris We get a small commission if you decide to sign up with them. However, if you’d like to check them out without giving us a commission, just go to Captivate.FM. Either way is fine. I just wanted to let you know about them. I haven’t published a new episode here at Podcast Local since December 2017. During that time a whole lot of you found the Podcast Local web site and subscribed to the email newsletter and downloaded the free guide featuring 10 ways to make a local podcast. First of all, thank you for listening. Second, I hope the guide has been helpful. If you have started a local podcast last year or this year, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me about your show. And if you’re having any challenges, ask me anything. I’ve been involved with three local shows, and I’ve seen the difference between working on a show with a team and working on your own with limited resources. If I can be part of your team, I’d love to help. Contact me at PodcastLocal.com. Thanks for listening. Expect more local podcasting discussions in the near future!
